Key Solutions, Inc. (KSI) is a consulting firm that works across the federal, state, and local opportunity lifecycles to help companies win government contracts. We specialize in proposal development, capture, market assessment, business development, orals coaching, graphics, and production services.
KSI Founder Jim McCarthy started his career as a congressional campaign manager and went on to become a legislative assistant, a political journalist, a speechwriter, and even a deputy press secretary. With this range of experiences, he thought he knew all about how Washington works – until he joined a proposal team.
Jim’s initial proposal wins opened his eyes to the world of Government Contracting and sparked a new passion for helping businesses win contracts. Jim realized that many businesses were qualified to earn and perform these contracts but needed help in “learning the language” of a proposal and successfully putting a bid together. This inspired him to launch AOC Key Solutions in 1983. It later became Key Solutions, Inc. (KSI) in 2021.
Nearly four decades later, team KSI has grown and continues to be passionate about what we do. Our KSI Advantage™ Approach – a set of capture and proposal best practices, agile methods, and unique tools – has helped clients win over $200 billion dollars in contracts.
